Springtime Tree Blossom Paintings
If these paintings don't make us think of Spring, then what will? After looking at Van Gogh's Almond Blossom painting, and discussing how just part of the tree is shown, kindergarteners painted their own tree branches. Then students used tissue paper to create bright collage flowers blooming from the branches.
Finished Pottery
Take a look at our beautifully glazed pottery! Kindergarten heart shaped bowls, crazy 5th grade creature heads, and adorable 3rd grade pigs! Stay tuned as more comes out of the kiln and makes its way to our gallery!
Monochromatic Self Portraits
As you walk by the art room you will be amazed to see our rainbow wall of self portraits!! These drawings were created by K-5 students who worked hard to create realistic likenesses of themselves- focusing on shape and proportion- Students then had fun choosing a color and coloring their whole face with shades of their chosen color. The collective effect of these portraits is quite striking!! Another "batch" is being completed and will be displayed soon!
